Most people out there feel that privacy is extremely important in their lives. We don’t like nosy neighbors, we don’t like getting phone calls in the middle of the night from salespeople, and pretty much anything else that involves our privacy being invaded in one way or the other. But guess what? We’re not the only ones who value privacy. Animals, especially wild animals, like keeping some things just to themselves as well. And nowhere is this more obvious than in the video below
The footage shows a tortoise’s hilarious reaction to a National Geographic reporter bothering him while he was in the middle of a mating ritual, and it’s proof that tortoises are pretty private animals. The male tortoise made it clear that he doesn’t want the man anywhere near his mating spot and actually began chasing him, tortoise-style (which looks a lot like a slow-motion version of a regular chase).
The tortoise might not be the fastest creature around, but as you’ll see, what he lacks in speed, he more than makes up for in attitude. The footage was recorded off the coasts of the Seychelles Islands, which is home to some of most beautiful and most diverse wildlife in the world. Check it out:
