You know how people say ‘Oh, you have no idea about having kids until you have them.’ It’s pretty annoying, right? It is, but that doesn’t make it less true. People without kids, myself included, think they have a solid grasp of what it means to be completely responsible of another human being. Kids are a lot of work, but they are such a blessing, yadda, yadda, yadda. People without kids say this kind of stuff all the time. Parents? They don’t have time to think or talk about things like that. Most of the time, they are too busy making sure their kid doesn’t set himself on fire.
