The highly-anticipated grand jury decision not to indict Darren Wilson, the white police officer who shot and killed an unarmed black teenager named Michael Brown, generated a great backlash in Ferguson city and in the country.
Mayor James Knowles gave a press conference on Tuesday, expressing concern for what could be another night of rioting and destruction. He called Missouri Governor Jay Nixon to deploy National Guard troops to Ferguson to support the local police in the nights to come.
